Benton County Historical Society (BCHS) is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of our county. We strive to preserve the memory of it's people, towns, and heritage of days gone by.

We are fortunate to be sitting between two of Missouri's most beautiful lakes, Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ozarks. Warsaw is also home to the Joe Dice Swinging Bridge, one of the last remaining suspension bridges in Missouri. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 and was renovated and reopened to foot traffic in 2007.
